Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure ring whose upper and lower surfaces are changed into flat surfaces substantially perpendicular to a piston shaft during fitting of the pressure ring to a piston when the pressure ring is fitted to a piston ring groove, which suppresses an increase in the amount of blowby gas and oil consumption, and also suppresses an increase in manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: A stepped cutout portion is formed by cutting out a corner formed by a lower surface having an axial cross-sectional surface formed into a substantially rectangular shape and a peripheral surface. The pressure ring has the upper surface formed into the shape of a substantially coned disc spring inclined downward toward a radially outward direction in a free state. The inclination angle θ of the upper surface of the pressure ring, with respect to a surface perpendicular to the shaft of the pressure ring, is set to be 0°<θ≤2°. |
