Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet irradiation device efficiently irradiating a target with light of a desired wavelength region without using an incidental member such as an optical filter or the like even in a case that the wavelength region of unnecessary light desired to be cut and the wavelength region of desired light approach.SOLUTION: In the ultraviolet irradiation device equipped with an ultraviolet lamp for mainly emitting ultraviolet rays and a water cooling jacket for allowing water to flow to the outer periphery of the lamp to cool the lamp, a lamp emission pipe is constituted of ordinary quartz glass. The water cooling jacket is constituted of a quartz glass pipe to which at least one kind of titanium, cerium, tin and vanadium is added and the surface temperature thereof is held to 80°C or below even during lamp operation.
