Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently wash objects to be washed in a washing apparatus, to miniaturize the washing apparatus, and to simplify the structure of the washing apparatus.SOLUTION: The washing apparatus includes: a basket 18 in which the objects to be washed 20 are stored; a water storage unit 14 for housing the basket in which the objects to be washed are stored; conveying means 2 for conveying the water storage unit in which the basket is housed; and a plurality of nozzles 10 and 11 disposed along the direction of conveying the water storage unit for jetting washing water. In the washing method, the objects to be washed are sequentially washed along the direction of conveying the water storage unit by jetting washing water from the plurality of disposed nozzles to the objects to be washed sequentially from above the conveyed water storage unit, and draining the jetted washing water to outside of the water storage unit while storing washing water inside the water storage unit in such a way that the whole objects to be washed are immersed.
