Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-accuracy matching result when a condition of a photographed input image differs from a condition of a photographed registration image. SOLUTION: In the face matching device 10, the registration face image and a shooting condition of a person included in the registration face image are registered in association with each other in a registration face image database 21. The device includes a condition detecting unit 32, a registration face image selecting unit 35, and a matching unit 36. The condition detecting unit 32 detects a shooting condition of the person in the input face image. The registration face image selecting unit 35 determines closeness between the shooting condition of the registration face image and the shooting condition detected from the input face image, and selects the shooting condition closest to the shooting condition detected from the input face image in the shooting conditions of the registration face images registered in common to the persons based on the determined closeness of the shooting condition. The matching unit uses the registration face image associated with the selected shooting condition for matching.
