Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and stably form a covering part of a tape material with a configuration where parts covered with the tape material and parts not covered with the tape material of a plurality of optical fibers arrayed in parallel intersect each other in a longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: The device for manufacturing an optical fiber ribbon includes: a point part 131 for aligning a plurality of optical fiber wires 10; a die 135 for covering the circumference of the aligned optical fiber wires 10 with a tape material to form a first area; a tape resin dispenser 150 for intermittently dispensing tape materials to an internal space 136; and a pressure device 140 for holding the internal space 136 at pressure higher than an atmospheric pressure. While shaping an outer shape of the tape material of the first area by an outgoing wire port formed at the exit of the die 135, the first area and the second area are alternately formed by the intermittently supplied tape materials.
