Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact connector with a plurality of terminal fittings arranged in the bending direction of lances. SOLUTION: A plurality of cavities 12 are aligned in the bending direction of the lances 13. In a housing, a back face 17 on the side opposite to a locking part 15 in the lance 13 faces the cavity 12 arranged facing the back face 17, and the lance 13 is allowed to enter the cavity 12 arranged facing the back face 17. The terminal fitting 30 includes a recess 44 formed to dent the outer surface facing the back face 17 of the lance 13, and allowing at least a part of the back face side part in the lance 13 to enter the recess when the lance 13 elastically bends toward the back face 17.
