PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly rotate a support plate for receiving an airbag of a deployed and inflated state toward a projecting position on a shock portion side of the airbag by few operating sources. SOLUTION: The airbag device 40 includes the airbag 46, an inflator 42, the support plate 77 and a strap 85. The airbag 46 is stored in a side part at the vehicle inside of a seat for a vehicle in a state that the airbag 46 is made into a form for storage by being folded. The support plate 77 is supported by a shaft to rotate between a storing position (two-point dot line) and the projecting position. The strap 85 is laid between the support plate 77 and the airbag 46 and pulls the support plate 77 according to deployment and inflation of the airbag 46 to rotate the support plate 77 from the storing position to the projecting position. The inflator 42 is disposed in the airbag 46 in a state that a gas injecting part 43 is located in the vicinity of a connecting part (an end part 85A of the strap 85) of the airbag 46 made into the form for storage with the strap 85.
