Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of recording quality in an adjusting section by achieving walking write strategy which considers the influence of recording edge adjustment on the position of another mark edge. SOLUTION: The shifting amount of each recording edge position in each strategy adjustment section is calculated based on an evaluation value measured at a previous recording part and information of interference sensitivity indicating a behavior of the evaluation value regarding each mark edge position with respect to the shifting amount of the recording edge position. Thus, when a strategy considering the influence (mutual interference) of a certain recording edge adjustment on another mark edge position is obtained, the necessity of repeatedly shaking the strategy in the conventional method is eliminated. As a result, strategy adjustment considering mutual interference is achieved while preventing deterioration of recording quality in a user data area. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
