SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a plurality of photoreceptors 1 disposed parallel mutually on in parallel planes; LEDs 3 disposed close to the photoreceptors 1; developing devices 4; developer cartridges 5; an intermediate transfer member 6; a fixing device 8; a supporting member 22 supporting the photoreceptors 1, the developing devices 4 and the LEDs 3 and can be freely pulled out in the horizontal direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the photoreceptors 1 from a device body; a sheet tray 9 for mounting sheets; a sheet conveying passage 11 which can be freely opened in the withdrawing direction of the supporting member 22 of the device body; and a supporting member opening which is arranged in the supporting member 22 for attaching and detaching the photoreceptors 1 to/from the supporting member 22 in the axial direction of the photoreceptors 1 substantially orthogonal to the withdrawing direction of the supporting member 22 while the supporting member 22 is pulled out of the device body.
