Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device for confirming the normality of an electronic mail, regardless of the interposition of a test operator when automatically performing the communication test work of the portable terminal device, and also to provide a communication test system and the method thereof. SOLUTION: The electronic mail including a predetermined specific character string in the portable terminal device 1, is transmitted from the test operator when the communication test is performed. The portable terminal device 1 identifies presence/absence of the specific character string whenever receiving the electronic mail, and transmits the identification result to an external tester 2 arranged in an external part. The identification result of presence/absence of the specific character string is stored in the external tester 2, thereby determining the normality of the electronic mail such as garbled characters and the lack of characters.
