Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device that reduces power consumption and processing time when canceling a low-power consumption state set by a central processing unit, and easily controls relation between forced cancel and restoration of the low-power consumption state set already by the central processing unit. SOLUTION: A forced cancel control circuit (70) is designed to forcibly cancel supply/stop of electric power and a clock set already to another circuit, only for a period requested by a signal (400) requesting the stop of the electric power and the clock output from a predetermined controlled circuit, in a control mechanism for low power consumption controlling the supply and the stop of the electric power and the clock, to the central processing unit (41), and to the circuits (12, 22) to be controlled. The central processing unit is not used for the forced cancel, and the low power consumption state is restored when the request from the predetermined controlled ends. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
