PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable body detection device, capable of securing airtightness by inhibiting deformation due to release of internal stress generated by laser welding. SOLUTION: In the movable body detection device 1, which includes a detecting means 2 for detecting motion of an object to be detected, a housing 3 having the detecting means 2 fixed, and a cover 4 for covering the detecting means 2 fixed to the housing 3 with the housing 3 and the cover 4 laser-welded, the cover 4 is equipped with a top plate 4a and a peripheral wall 4b for covering part of an outer peripheral surface 3b of the housing 3 along a circumference of the top plate 4a; and the housing 3 is equipped with a first groove 9, in which an O-ring 11 serving as a first sealing member is disposed, at a portion covered with the peripheral wall 4b, with an O-ring 12 serving as a second sealing member disposed on the peripheral wall 4b of the cover 4 to push the peripheral wall 4b towards the housing 3 by the O-ring 12.
