Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device surely preventing electroconductive foreign matter from entering between an electrode of a motor side external connection part and that of a unit side external connection part, while being facilitated in assembling and simplified in structure. SOLUTION: The electric power steering device includes a protection cover 27 assembled on one outer periphery of the motor side external connection part 5d and the unit side external connection part 28, covering the motor side external connection part and the unit side external connection part connected to each other. The protection cover 27 includes a cover body 27a, and a belt-like skirt portion 27c formed extended from a base portion 27b of the cover body, coming into contact with an outer surface 5e around the motor side external connection part opposite to the base portion.
