Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact antenna device whose directivity can be controlled. SOLUTION: The antenna device includes a power feeding element 1 and a parasitic element 2, and is arranged in the upper part of a ground conductor 3. The power feeding element 1 is constituted of a first metal plate 10, a power feeding pin 11, and four shorting pins 12. The first metal plate 10 is arranged in parallel with the upper part of the grounding conductor 3. The power feeding pin 11 is arranged between the first metal plate 10 and the grounding conductor 3. The shorting pins 12 connect the first metal plate 10 to the grounding conductor 3. The parasitic element 2 has a structure where four unit cells 20 are linearly arranged, wherein each unit cell 20 has a mushroom structure constituted of: a dielectric substrate 22; second metal plates 21 formed on the dielectric substrate 22; a shorting pin 23 connecting the second metal plates 21 to the grounding conductor 3; and variable capacitors 24.
