Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrifying device capable of shielding space between an opening of a corona electrifier and a surface of a photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The electrifying device includes: the corona electrifier 2 including an electrode 2b and a shield 2a including an opening; a sheet type heater 61 being a sheet type shutter that can open/shut the opening; a moving mechanism moving the sheet type heater 61 in a longitudinal direction of the corona electrifier 2 so as to open/shut the opening; and a take-up shaft 62 being a take-up means for taking up the sheet type heater 61 moved in a direction where the opening is opened by the moving mechanism.
