Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single end type heat exchanger capable of elongating the service life while improving thermal efficiency of a ceramic heat transfer outer pipe and of facilitating replacement work. SOLUTION: In this heat exchange device, the single end type heat exchanger including the ceramic heat transfer outer pipe having one sealed end and coming into contact with high-temperature gas and a metallic heat transfer inner pipe which is arranged inside the outer pipe and in which heated fluid is made to flow is inserted into a furnace body where high-temperature gas is made to flow.
