Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of preventing the height of developer from decreasing on a downstream side of a supplying conveyance member in the direction of developer conveyance. SOLUTION: The developing device includes: a developer carrier for supplying developer to an image carrier; and the supplying conveyance member 33 disposed opposite the developer carrier and configured to rotate to convey developer in an axial direction, and at the same time, to supply the developer to the developer carrier. The supplying conveyance member 33 is formed so that the area of the cross-section made by cutting the supplying conveyance member 33 in a direction intersecting in the axial direction is increased from the upstream side to the downstream side in the direction of developer conveyance.
