Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a window glass of a side door from being broken due to an impact upon collision of a vehicle more completely, and to attain glass breakage prevention in a simple structure while restraining increase in mass of the door. SOLUTION: The side door for the vehicle includes: a door body 9 including outer and inner panels 13, 14 facing with each other in a width direction of the vehicle body 2; the window glass 29 that can be raised/lowered by passing through the slit 17 between respective upper ends of both the panels 13, 14 from the inner space 16 of the door body 9; and a support device 39 that is provided in the inner space 16 of the door body 9 to be separated from the respective upper end sides of both the panels 13, 14, and is supported by the door body 9 to support the glass 29 to be raised/lowered. When at least either of the respective upper end sides of the outer and inner panels 13, 14 starts relatively approaching the glass 29 in the width direction of the vehicle body 2 upon collision of the vehicle 1, the upper end side is brought into contact with part 39a of the support device 39 with each other.
