Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic music apparatus capable of appropriately performing setting suitable for vocoder control. SOLUTION: An effect-imparting means includes an effect-imparting function for imparting sound effects, by controlling the musical sound signal generated by a sound source, and a vocoder function for generating a vocoder sound, by controlling the musical sound signal generated by the sound source, based on a feature of the sound signal. In response to that, parameters required for changing to the vocoder function are set in the effect-imparting means, displaying for prompting the user to perform setting for supplying the obtained sound signal to the vocoder function is performed; and thereby, the user can perform setting suitable for vocoder control in an effector, and successively perform setting of a device to which the sound signal utilized for generation of the vocoder sound is supplied, without forgetting the setting; in other words, appropriate setting for carrying out appropriate vocoder control is facilitated.
