Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel improving burner which uses an ignition plug for a long time without burning out and breaking the ignition plug. SOLUTION: In the fuel reforming burner 1 supplying heat for improving reaction to a reformer, an inverted recess-shaped combustion chamber 14 is formed at the tip center of the burner 1. A plurality of off-gas burner ports 13 are provided on the peripheral wall on the tip side of the combustion chamber 14, and a plurality of auxiliary burner ports 10 are provided on the peripheral wall on the bottom side. A discharge part 16 of an ignition means 15 is exposed at the bottom of the combustion chamber 14. Thus, the fuel reforming burner 1 eliminates the possibility of burnout and breakage due to exposure to flame, can obtain good ignition for a long time and can be used at ease all the time.
