Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose fiber which has so high heat resistance that the cellulose fiber can be proof against at least two heat treatments, easy splittability and high productivity, and which allows a cellulose fiber composite prepared therefrom to have high transparency, non-colorability, the lowered coefficient of linear expansion and a high modulus of elasticity and to provide a composite product capable of being proof against a practical application step when the cellulose fiber composite is used for purposes such as a transparent substrate. SOLUTION: The cellulose fiber composite includes cellulose fibers having 4-100 nm number-average fiber diameter and a matrix and has ≤2 haze and ≤25 YI value when the cellulose fiber composite is subjected to heat treatment for 4 hours at 190°C and the heat treatment is repeated four times.
