PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide thermal spraying powder having excellent form-stability and fluidity when forming a spray deposit film, and capable of forming a dense spray deposit film in which the amount of non-molten portion is reduced. SOLUTION: The thermal spraying powder consists of thermal spraying particles which are formed in a spherical shape on the whole while a recess is formed in a part of its outer circumferential surface. 90%D90of the aspect ratio distribution in the thermal spraying particles is ≤1.5, its bulk density is ≥1.0g/cm3and ≤1.5g/cm3, and the particle diameter of the 50% particle diameter D50in the thermal spraying particles is ≥10 μm and ≤50 μm. ≥70% of the total particles have recesses, and the recess diameter ratio of the recess is ≥50% and ≤70%.
