Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relatively small kitchen knife which can cut a hard and large food material having an unstable shape such as a pumpkin, without requiring any auxiliary tool. SOLUTION: A tang of a kitchen knife blade body and a handle are separated. A hole into which the tang is slidably inserted is bored in the handle. By using the end of the tang inserting hole of the handle as a hammer, the blade body is thrusted into the hard skin of food material and the end of the inserted tang is fixed by a fastening screw, then the blade body is further thrusted into the food material at the same thrusting angle while the food material is rolled by 360 degrees to cut the food material into two pieces.
