Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a novel imaging lens system that is suitable for an imaging apparatus for sensing purpose, that is superior in environmental resistance, and that attains excellent performance and miniaturization. SOLUTION: The imaging lens is equipped, in order from an object side to an image side, with a negative first lens group I, a negative second group lens II, a positive third lens group III, a positive fourth lens group IV, a negative fifth lens group V, a positive sixth lens group VI, and a positive seventh lens group VII. An aperture diaphragm S is included between the fourth and the fifth lens group, and a seven group/nine lens structure is formed wherein the first to the third group are the single lenses, the sixth and the seventh group are single lenses, and the fourth and the fifth group are cemented lenses respectively, wherein all lenses are formed of glass.
