PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving-object detection device capable of keeping a housing and a cover fixed without using a laser welding device. SOLUTION: In the moving-object detection device 1 which includes a housing 3 provided with a housing part 2 and a cover 4 covering the housing part 3 and in which a detection means 5 detecting movement of a detection object is provided at the housing part 3, the cover 4 is provided with a top section 4a covering the housing part 2, a protruding part 4c extended from the top section 4a toward the housing part 2 and entering the housing part 2, and a filling member 13 charged into the housing part 2 and protecting the detection means 5 with the cover 4 fixed to the housing 3 by adhesion by burying the protruding part 4c in the filling member 13.
