Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bone regenerative medical material having a three-dimensional cell culturing substratum permitting efficient cell culture, and a method of manufacturing the bone regenerative medical material. SOLUTION: The bone regenerative medical material includes a foam with interconnected cells and apatite coating the skeleton surface of the foam. The method of manufacturing the bone regenerative medical material including the foam and apatite coating the skeleton surface of the foam includes an apatite precipitation step for mixing the foam with interconnected cells with a treatment solution including sodium chloride, bubbling carbon dioxide, and adding calcium chloride and the secondary pottasium phosphate. The cells of the foam preferably have an omnidirectional spread of about 200-600 μm. The foam is preferably hydrophilic polyurethane obtained by reacting polyether ester polyol with polyisocyanates.
