Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assist comfortable awakening without giving a sleeper an unpleasant feeling in an awakening system. SOLUTION: The awakening system 1 includes: an illumination part 2; a controller 4; an interface 5 for inputting a wakeup set time, etc.; an arithmetic part 6 for computing an illumination start time; a clock part 7; and a sensor 8 for detecting body motion. The controller 4 starts illumination at the illumination start time, gradually increases the output, and starts detection of body motion. Upon detection of the body motion, retention time is measured and, when the next body motion is detected during the retention time, the retention time is remeasured. When a frequency of the detection exceeds a threshold, the illumination output is increased, with the sleeper awakened. Since the retention time is set short near the illumination start time, awakening hardly occurs on wrong determination of being a light sleep state already. Instead, the retention time is set long in a time zone near the awakening set time, no guidance to awakening rarely happens on wrong determination of not being a light sleep state yet. Consequently, comfortable awakening is assisted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
