Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the level of sound signals from becoming instable by wind noise. SOLUTION: The sound signal processing apparatus including a sound collecting means for converting sound vibrations to sound signals includes a detection means for detecting the level of noise components included in the sound signals by the influence of winds around the processing apparatus and an adjusting means for amplifying the sound signals by an amplification factor corresponding to the level of the sound signals. The adjusting means lowers the amplification factor when the level of the sound signals becomes high and raises the amplification factor when the level of the sound signals is lowered. When raising the amplification factor, the adjusting means slows the change speed of the amplification factor more when the level of the noise components detected by the detection means is higher.
