Also, a side-bottom gap SBG is formed larger than the side-top gap STG, and smaller than twice a pole width PW. Further, a bottom aperture width BAW of a magnetic shield 29 at the end of a main magnetic pole 21 in a leading direction LD is formed larger than a top aperture width TAW of the magnetic shield 29 at the end of the main magnetic pole 21 in a trailing direction TR.
