PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying machine which efficiently dries in accordance with the degree of dryness of an object to be dried. SOLUTION: A clothes washing and drying machine 1 includes: a supply passage 120 for supplying an air in a rotary drum 110; a discharge passage 130 for discharging the air from inside the rotary drum 110; a blower 140; a heater 150; a supply side temperature/humidity sensor 171 for detecting an absolute humidity in the supply passage 120; and a discharge side temperature/humidity sensor 172 to detect an absolute humidity in the discharge passage 130. When the difference between the absolute humidity detected by the supply side temperature/humidity sensor 171 and the absolute humidity detected by the discharge side temperature/humidity sensor 172 is larger than a predetermined value, the blower 140 drives to stop the heater 150, and when the difference between the absolute humidity detected by the sensor 171 and that detected by the sensor 172 is below the predetermined value, the blower 140 and the heater 150 are driven.
