PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate heat exchanger improved in mounting a connection conduit pipe by brazing. SOLUTION: This invention relates to the plate heat exchanger, and a method of manufacturing the plate heat exchanger. The plate heat exchanger includes a number of heat exchange plates (1, 1', 1'') disposed in adjacent to each other and connected with each other by brazing. The heat exchange plates are substantially made of stainless steel including chrome. The plate heat exchanger includes a number of port channels extending through at least several sheets of heat exchange plates. The port channels are surrounded by connection faces (5) for connecting the port channels to pipe members (6). The connection faces include a material for facilitating the brazing of the pipe members to the connection faces by a simple method in comparison with the stainless steel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
