Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image photographing system which is user friendly to an operator such as a radiologic technician even when a CR apparatus and a radiation image photographing apparatus coexist and which can be introduced at low costs. SOLUTION: The radiation image photographing system 100 includes: at least one photographing room R; a CR apparatus which obtains image data D by radiation image photographing; the radiation image photographing apparatus 1 which obtains the image data D by radiation image photographing and prepares thinning data Dt; a console C which obtains a diagnostic radiation image from the image data D; and a display device 56 which is provided in the photographing room R and connected to the console C. The console C transfers, to the display device 56, the thinning data Dt prepared on the basis of image data D transmitted from the CR apparatus 52 or the thinning data Dt transmitted from the radiation image photographing apparatus 1.
