Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the failure of communication without reducing the efficiency of communication in a master-slave communication system which employs a schedule. SOLUTION: If it is determined that none of data blocks to be transmitted has been updated from the previous time (YES in S130), control proceeds to the next slot without transmitting any data block. On the other hand, if it is determined that one or more of the data blocks to be transmitted have been updated from the previous time (NO in S130), a data block having a lowest update frequency and a data block or blocks having an update frequency higher than that of that data block, of the updated data block or blocks, and number-of-data-blocks information indicating the number of data blocks to be transmitted, are transmitted (S135). Thus, by transmitting data other than data which has not been updated, a period of time for transmission and reception of event data is increased, thereby reducing the probability that the communication failure occurs.
