Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a fuel injector capable of promptly and reliably forming fine fuel injection ports at the front end of a metallic nozzle without the need for expensive facilities. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the fuel injector includes a pin inserting step of protruding sliding pins having diameters, numbers, positions and angles corresponding to the fine fuel injection ports to be formed at the front end of the nozzle from an injection molding die into a cavity corresponding to the shape of the nozzle to be formed after mold closure, an injection molding step of pressing and filling binder-added powder metal into the cavity and solidifying it into a nozzle sintered body, a pin setting-back step of setting the sliding pins back to the injection molding die, and a firing step of removing the nozzle molding from the injection molding die, and sintering it to manufacture a nozzle sintered body with slender tubular voids corresponding to the sliding pins.
