PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyvinylidene chloride resin composition having excellent dispersibility of pigment and optical characteristics, to provide a method for producing the same and to provide a molded product formed from the resin composition. SOLUTION: The polyvinylidene chloride resin composition contains a polyvinylidene chloride resin, a pigment and a magnesium salt of a hydroxyl group-containing fatty acid. In the method for producing the polyvinylidene chloride resin composition, the pigment and the magnesium salt of the hydroxyl group-containing fatty acid are added and blended to a powder resin of the polyvinylidene chloride resin.
