Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain comfortable awakening of a sleeper at low cost in a lighting device assisting the sleeper to awake by irradiating the sleeper with light. SOLUTION: The lighting device 1 includes a light source section 2, an input section 3, a recording section 4, a control section 5, a clock section 6, and a sound source section 7. In the recording section 4, light adjusting schedule for gradually increasing light output of the light source section 2 over time is recorded for awaking the sleeper at a predetermined time based on an awakening set time. The control section 5 controls the light source section 2 according to the light adjusting schedule. Further, the control section 5 detects that the sleeper awakes by the input section 3 being operated after starting the action of the light adjusting schedule. The recording section 4 records a required awakening time or a light output when awaking. The control section 5 corrects the light adjusting schedule according to the required awakening time or the light output when awaking recorded in the recording section 4. Thus, the light adjusting schedule corresponds to the individual difference of the sleeper. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
