Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint by which pipes are easily connected and which prevents a hinge easily attached from breaking during and after fastening the pipes. SOLUTION: This reinforcement fiber plastic pipe joint 1 includes flange parts 5, 5 provided at split ends 4 of a polyester resin joint body 3 approximately C-shaped in cross section, and adapted to be fastened and fixed to each other with a fixing member 6. A site a half round from the split ends 4 of the joint body 3 is the hinge part 7 formed of a urethane rubber in which reinforcement fibers are laid throughout the length. The hinge part 7 serves split 2 to open the joint body 3 into which pipes 9, 10 are put. Then, the fixing member 6 is fitted to the flange parts 5 and the pipe joint is fastened and mounted to the pipes. At this time, the flexibility of the hinge part is secured by the urethane rubber to actualize smooth work for pushing out both flanges. After fastened, the pipe joint is highly reliable over the ages with the rigidity secured by the reinforcing fibers. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
