Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for washing away mud which adheres to a tire and cannot be washed away by a conventional way wherein the tire merely passes through a water tank, by splashing water against the tire of a vehicle by the movement of the vehicle without any other power. SOLUTION: Vehicle support ribs 8 perpendicular to the vehicle traveling direction are arranged in the water tank at predetermined intervals and at such a height that tires 7 are slightly soaked in water. By stepping down one end of washing function plates 3a-3d which turn in a seesaw manner around bearings 11 provided on both ends of the vehicle support ribs or in the extending directions thereof, a dipper function part 3c on the other end of the washing function plates jumps up, and water stored in part 3c is splashed against the tire to wash it. After the tire passes, the dipper function part sinks in the water to cope with the washing of the next tire. The tire washing device includes the continuously-arranged washing function plates which sequentially wash the tires by splashing water as the vehicle advances. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
