Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bactericide eliminating apparatus which avoids a situation in which a bactericide remains on the surface of a packaging film, even when the operating speed of an automatic packaging machine is accelerated to a high speed. SOLUTION: The bactericide eliminating apparatus of the automatic packaging machine includes: a squeezing roll 16 for roughly eliminating a large particulate water drop-like bactericide sticking on a packaging film just after passing through a bactericide tank; a bactericide squeezing rolls 15 for squeezing off a small particulate water drop-like bactericide sticking on the packaging film just after the squeezing roll 16; and an air knife for blowing away micro-bactericide remaining on the surface of the packaging film from which the water drop-like bactericide is eliminated by these two roll mechanism. The squeezing roll 16 and the bactericide squeezing rolls 15 are held under a freely rotating condition provided with no driving force, and for the squeezing roll 16, the roll diameter is made smaller than those for the bactericide squeezing rolls 15 to reduce a load applied on film conveying.
