Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device eliminating influence of a recess due to a contact hole formed in a planarizing film for forming an excellent light-emitting layer. SOLUTION: The organic EL display device includes: a TFT substrate 10 including a drive element; a planarizing film 11 formed on the TFT substrate 10; a reflection anode 12 formed in the upper part of the planarizing film 11 and the bottom part and the side wall of the contact hole 23 formed in the planarizing film 11 and electrically connected to the drive element through the contact hole 23; an organic light-emitting layer 16 formed on the reflection anode 12; a transparent cathode 18 formed on the organic light-emitting layer 16; and a pixel regulation layer 14 formed between the reflection anode 12 and the organic light-emitting layer 16 to form a non-light-emitting area through which no light emission current flows. The pixel regulation layer 14 is loaded to the upper part of the contact hole 23, and the surface of the pixel regulation layer 14 is planarized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
