Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of turning a C-shaped arm in a fluoroscopic. SOLUTION: An X-ray image diagnostic apparatus includes: an X-ray tube device; an X-ray detector; the C-shaped arm to which the X-ray tube device and the X-ray detector are mounted; an X-ray control part for applying high voltage to the X-ray tube device to generate X-rays; a support mechanism for rotatably supporting the C-shaped arm; an ordinary fluoroscopy switch operated by an operator; an oscillating switch operated by the operator; and a control part for controlling the support mechanism and the X-ray control part so that the C-shaped arm is fixed and an X-ray is continuously applied to a subject during the fluoroscopy period designated through the ordinary fluoroscopy switch and the C-shaped arm turns in the reciprocating manner within a preset section during the oscillating period designated through the oscillating switch.
