SOLUTION: The tyrosinase inhibitor includes a compound having a 6- or 7-hydroxyindole skeleton as an effective component. The tyrosinase inhibitor is added to external preparations for the skin or cosmetic bases and used for preventing or treating melanine pigmentation due to aging, preventing suntan caused by ultraviolet rays, and skin-whitening by applying the inhibitor to the skin in the form of the external preparations for the skin or the cosmetics.
