Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain remarkable improvement compared with conventional techniques, and to provide a tape collecting individual conductive wires into a cable room and bandaging them, simultaneously accompanied with high protection against mechanical damage caused by wear and friction at sharp edges, protrusions, or welded points, and further producing no flagging. SOLUTION: The adhesive tape is composed of a base material and of an adhesive layer applied on at least one side, the base material being a woven fabric, preferably a woven polyester fabric, and is characterized in that the ratio of the linear density per unit length of the transverse threads to the linear density per unit width of the longitudinal threads is between 2.2 and 6 and the base material has a weight per unit area of greater than or equal to 110 g/m2.
