PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct an imbalance amount in accordance with determination of an imbalance position before and after a spin drying step by easily and quickly detecting an imbalance position before and after the step. SOLUTION: A drum washing machine includes a gyro device 14 for detecting an angular-velocity of a water tank 2 which performs a circular movement around a rotary shaft 3a attached to the water tank 2. Imbalance determination means 20 determines an amount of imbalance of the laundry and a position of imbalance in the back and forth direction along the rotary shaft 3a of a drum 3. The imbalance determination means determines the amount of imbalance of the laundry and the position of imbalance in an increase step of rotation of the drum 3 in a spin-drying operation after washing and rinsing steps on the basis of an output signal of the gyro device 14, and decides whether to continue increasing rotation of the drum 3 in accordance with the determined amount of imbalance and position of imbalance, so that spin-drying operation of low vibration in accordance with the imbalance state of the laundry is performed.
