Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible for a server application in a server device simply to use a function or data of an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: In a composite machine 1, a web browser 24 displays a user interface screen on a display device of an operation panel 14, and also transmits a command by a predetermined protocol, a web server 25 receives a command via a predetermined protocol, and a request processing unit 26 executes processing corresponding to the command received by the web server 25. Meanwhile, in the server device 3, the server application 43 executes processing corresponding to the command from the web browser 24 received by a web server 41, and when using the function or data of the composite machine 1, the server application transmits the command corresponding to the function or the data to the web server 25 using a web client 42 via the predetermined protocol.
