Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer control device which can provide only actually necessary information while suppressing information unnecessary for a user. SOLUTION: The printer control device includes: a means S01004 for, in performing specific processing, shifting a mode to a mode in which the disconnection of the printer is not displayed; a means S01005 for monitoring the connected state of the printer; a means S01006 for determining the fact that the printer has been disconnected. Even when the printer disconnection is detected during the shift to the mode in which the disconnection of the printer is not displayed (S01006: Yes), the disconnection of the printer is not displayed, but the mode is shifted to the mode in which the disconnection of the printer is displayed (S01007), and monitoring mode transition processing ends. In this processing, when the printer is intentionally disconnected by a user operation, the printer disconnection error is not displayed, and when the display of the connected state of the printer is necessary for guiding a user, the connected state of the printer is displayed.
