Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an integrally-vulcanized track pad with a steel plate or a synthetic resin plate, which prevents a rubber pad body and the steel plate or the synthetic resin plate, joined together, from being separated from each other and which enables the sliding of a rail in the expansion/contraction of the rail; and to provide the track pad with grooves on both sides. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing the track pad includes: a step of infilling a rubber material with a length of 2 m into one mold 11 having a lower groove forming protrusion 15 formed on a bottom; a step of setting upper groove forming rod members 23 and 33 in the predetermined position of the one mold; a step of placing the thin plate-like steel plate 5 or the synthetic resin plate, coated with an adhesive, on the top surface of the infilled rubber material; a step of integrating the rubber pad body 2 with the steel plate 5 or the synthetic resin plate by applying predetermined pressure and predetermined temperature and performing vulcanized compression molding, after combining one mold and the other mold 12 together; a step of pulling out the upper groove forming rod member from the one mold after a lapse of predetermined time; and a step of taking out the integrated integrally-vulcanized track pad 1 with the steel plate or the synthetic resin plate by opening the other mold.
