PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel 4-arylphenyl derivative effective as a renin inhibitor. SOLUTION: The compound of formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is provided. In formula (I), R1arepresents a hydrogen atom or the like; R1brepresents a substituted 1-6C alkyl group or the like; G represents a group represented by formula (I-A) or the like; R1crepresents a hydrogen atom or the like; R1frepresents a hydrogen atom or the like; R1grepresents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or the like; R1drepresents a group represented by the formula: -D-E or the like, wherein D represents a single bond, -CO- or the like, and E represents a hydrogen atom, an optionally monosubstituted or disubstituted amino group, an optionally substituted 4- to 7-membered cyclic amino group or the like; R1erepresents a hydrogen atom or the like; R2represents an optionally substituted 1-6C alkyl group or the like; R3a, R3b, R3cand R3dare identical to or different from each other and independently represent a group represented by the formula: -A-B or the like, wherein A represents a single bond or the like, and B represents a hydrogen atom or the like; and n represents 0 or the like.
