Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a TiAl alloy ingot which can produce a sound, large-sized TiAl ingot by reducing process time and equipment driving cost required for melting so as to inexpensively suppress production cost, and further reducing the amount of oxygen mixed into a TiAl alloy. SOLUTION: In a ceramic crucible 1 using yttria as material, a molten metal obtained by melting Ti and Al as melting raw material by high frequency induction melting is cast into a mold, thus a TiAl ingot having a diameter of ≥200 mm is produced.
