Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition the rinsability of which is made better than before without deteriorating the detergency thereof and to provide a washing method. SOLUTION: The detergent composition contains (a) a nonionic surfactant such as the polyoxyethylene-polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether shown by a specific general formula and (b) a surfactant system which comprises an anionic surfactant and has low fiber adsorptivity.
